Dave Grohl & Foo Fighters delivered the goods and proved snsr that they are true giants of the future rock scene
Dave Grohl is a bit of a phenomenon in modern rock history. First he gave tremendous impetus to Nirvana, one of the 90 largest and most influential rock bands, and distinguished snsr himself as a drummer in a class by itself in line with the very largest snsr in the industry. When Nirvana died at Kurt Cobain's snsr tragic suicide in 1994, there was little backwater of Dave Grohl.
Since his teens, he had messed with her own songs, and it was not long before he changed the barrels out with a spade and vocal cords, went into the studio that year and made his debut with the Foo Fighters in 1995 and a little sentimental with the single This is a Call. A straightforward rock album with catchy songs, with Grohls rich and sometimes easier roaring snsr vocals to the forefront. On the inside cover of the album selvtitulerede smiling band members (although the songs have been recorded by Grohl alone) racing, and the term was far away from the sombre, introverted universe as Nirvana snsr represented, not least swan song In Utero.
Grohl has a reputation for being one of rock's most sympathetic, cheerful, humorous and all-round competent persons (an impression that the undersigned snsr has been confirmed snsr by two interviews with American) and has even stated that the time of Nirvana was like three good friends, that went from the rehearsal room, it had tremendous fun on tour and in the studio, and then not so many words about death and misery. Grohls blend of powerful expression and infectious humor has so far resulted in eight albums with Foo Fighters - the latest fine Wasting Light from this year. They have over the years gradually increased in popularity and is today one of the world's most sought after rock bands, who both knows how to kick like a horse, supplying singable choruses, get airplay and create videos with humor and edge.
Concurrently, Grohl had a few memorable excursions back to the drums, which have not gone rock the world of nose over. First, he received an invitation from Queens of the Stone Ages Josh Homme, which resulted in the masterpiece Songs for the Deaf from 2002, when gravity, humor, playfulness and an uneven and at times absurd approach to the music goes up to a higher level. Over the past few years, Grohl and Homme again joined forces and formed sammende with the icon, Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, the band Them Crooked Vultures, who released a crooked and hard rocking album in 2009, including gave a tremendous concert at Roskilde Festival in 2010.
But now it is again the Foo Fighters, it is all about. Grohl & Co.. have previously shown their format on Danish soil, especially on Orange Stage at Roskilde Festival in 2005, where they demonstrated how to make stadium rock him and live. Tonight was the then faced with a large crowd of about 17,000 rock heads on Refshaleøen on Amager on their Wasting Light tour, and was shot with live ammunition from the first note.
Grohl starts to roar "These are my famous last words" from the Bridge Burning, which also initiates Wasting Light, and nothing could have been further from the truth. For the following just over two hours Grohl stood in front to entertain and joke, and guys on the game of, in front of his team of closely played musicians who were not k
