There is a lot of things to do around the computer science and all around media literacy. thales jobs On 26 March, a meeting in the context of the report of the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences on digital literacy in secondary education. In that report, they argue for the introduction of a new compulsory subject thales jobs "Information & Communication" in the basement of the HAVO and VWO and a review of the elective thales jobs Informatica. Both from the side of the "Computer" section and from the angle of literacy has responded to the report. Also, people in higher education and the ICT world have given their opinion. All are agreed that it would be more attention in the education of computer science for good and good / wise use of the possibilities of the Internet. thales jobs However, there are a few caveats to the report of the Academy: Why a separate subject? Is not it better to integrate into existing courses? 'Information and communication' / 'digital literacy' / media literacy why only focus on the different aspects of ICT in the basement of HAVO and VWO and not VMBO? The committee that wrote the report had instructions to the computer science education as it is now being offered to screen. Within the VO That explains why the report does not mention science in primary schools. But I still think it's a missed opportunity that it in the report there is no mention. I think that just lie the best opportunities. Not just from the thought "taught young is done old 'and' a math lump you should grow, but also because it is important to let go with ICT. Already in primary school children to work And not just the wise use, but also the technology behind it, so they can make a profile or direction. An informed thales jobs choice in secondary education Learning a programming language can be a good start to learn about the more "technical" aspects thales jobs of ICT. There are plenty of programs that are suitable for use in primary schools, such as Scratch and Game Maker. Both programs are English manuals can be found: by (among others) Scratchweb and TUDelft for Scratch and by (among others) Game Cool and Pauline Maas program for the program Game Maker (respectively for teachers thales jobs and students in primary schools.). For schools that work with iOS tablets I find the app Cargo-Bot where you playfully teaches programming a must. Abroad thales jobs more and more voices are raised Computing - to provide all the basisonderwijs.Zullen we do with starting already in the Netherlands - in the form of programming classes
Of course it should thales jobs not be a separate subject. Digital skills and knowledge are part of all school subjects and areas of expertise. And program everyone should have done a while at least, even in elementary school. Good piece, rich in details and lots of links, so you can quickly form an image of the subject. Jaapsoft, Thanks for your feedback and compliment! Is programmed in your vision also soft skills? Programming has everything to do with being able to create a good structure and logical thinking what I think real soft skills according to your definition (skills with no tools or tool required). Or should I turn around and you need to program? Soft skills 2:00 PM
When programming in Scratch you can do many different sides of a strip, a game, an animation control Lego WeDo and Makey. The subject is leading. You Scratch in shaping experiences, expectations, stories, processes, something you've learned ..... May 18 is Scratchday. thales jobs We then celebrate Scratch six years ago. In Almere, Amsterdam and Haarlem variety of workshops are held. 10:51 AM
I do not why Frosted "Information and communication" "natuurijk" no separate box should be? What makes all others, or existing courses, or natural? Or do you mean simply that all subjects are best eliminated? Everybody must get an introduction to "computer science" and that must, like all other sciences and subjects, done by trained competent teachers. thales jobs Of course, that does not mean you're apart then "finished" with such a box. Dutch do not you just by a separate subject thales jobs on that, but neither doctrine finally without. 3:46 PM
Bern, I think that media literacy should not be taught as a separate subject just as (wise) use of other media is offered as a separate subject. Each teacher would mi should be able to reflect on the proper use of media with students. It is not about technology, but issues such as security, privacy, search skills, communication skills, interpretation of text and image in
