The Royal Air Force Museum Cosford received on February 11 his latest acquisition, aiaa space 2011 an aircraft training T.MK.1 Dominie XS709 that was the RAF. The aircraft flew from RAF Cranwell, Lincolnshire, Flt Lt Andy by pilots Flt Lt Owen and Andy Preece, both from 55 Squadron The aircraft will now undergo a preparation before getting exposed in the museum from the next few weeks, after end its operational life with little more than 16,100 hours of flight time logged.
XS709 The aircraft was the first of its kind Dominie to enter service in the RAF, the last Air Force to operate such aircraft type in the world. The official delivery to the RAF Museum, after removal of some items, occurred on February aiaa space 2011 15.
The first 20 Dominie aircraft for training function began to fly in the RAF on December 30, 1964 The first students of browsers aiaa space 2011 that were trained by the RAF Dominie T1 were graduated in April 1966 and the last completed his education in the model, with the Squadron 55, on 19 January this year.
